The Author

Lisa MohrFor nearly 20 years, I have been practicing massage therapy. I have the pleasure of living out a career in which people are grateful for me and my hands. Because of my own unique, intuitive style of massage, I was dubbed “Magic Hands.” My training includes sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, Swedish massage, lymphatic massage, orthobionomy, Reiki, foot reflexology, and facial massage. Several of my clients have asked me to teach them and their partners my techniques. This book is the outcome of those requests.

The bodies we see on TV and in magazines are not real. They are airbrushed and Photoshopped to make the models appear flawless. As a result, many people, especially women, are extremely self-conscious about removing their clothing for a massage. Over the years, I have worked on every body type you can imagine. I honestly prefer a “meatier” or “fluffier” body type to a bony one. People with padding can usually handle a little more pressure, although the state of their muscle tissue, age, level of hydration, and general health certainly play a role in the amount of pressure exerted.

It is my sincere desire that this book and these massage strokes create a sense of connection with you and your own body, as well as that of your partner. Touch is one of the greatest gifts we can give and receive. Your partner just wants to touch and honor you, as you do your partner. These hand positions and instructions will allow you both to do just that.

My heartfelt intention for this book is that it provides you and your partner with the skills to lavish one another with pleasurable, relaxing, and healing strokes you and your partner can’t get enough of. What an incredible power it is to be able to provide such a gift to another person.

To your mutual enjoyment!
